Rangers Maintain Perfect Record with Victory Over Strength to Strength Blue

The Rangers continued their dominant run in the Edmonton Futsal League, securing a 7-4 win over Strength to Strength Blue (S2S) in a thrilling encounter. The victory marks their ninth straight win, maintaining their unblemished record at the top of the table.

First Half Blitz

The Rangers wasted no time establishing their supremacy. Sheldon Prasad opened the scoring in the second minute, setting the tone for an aggressive first half. By the seventh minute, Stefan Gajic doubled the lead with a clinical finish, leaving the S2S defense struggling to keep pace.

Despite some spirited attempts by S2S’s Jermaine Clarke, who had a shot on target and a free kick opportunity in the 10th minute, the Rangers kept pressing. Rakan Yassin and Ali Yildiz joined the scoresheet in the 16th and 21st minutes, respectively, to push the lead to 4-0 before halftime.

Second Half Fightback by S2S

S2S came out fighting in the second half, with Selemani Seir Jr. scoring a well-taken goal in the 26th minute to give his team a glimmer of hope. Samuel House added another in the 32nd minute, narrowing the deficit to 4-2.

However, a red card for Jermaine Clarke in the 36th minute proved costly, leaving S2S down a man for the remainder of the game. Despite this setback, Selemani Seir Jr. completed his hat trick with back-to-back goals in the 40th and 42nd minutes, showcasing his resilience.

Rangers Seal the Deal

The Rangers, unfazed by S2S’s resurgence, showcased their offensive firepower yet again. Rakan Yassin scored his second of the match in the 40th minute, and substitute Jose Hernandez capped off the game with a goal in the final minute, securing a 7-4 win.

League Dominance

With this win, the Rangers sit comfortably atop the league standings with 27 points from nine games, boasting an impressive goal difference of +77. Meanwhile, S2S Blue remains near the bottom, managing just four points from their nine matches.
